How much should you spend on ads? A simple formula from your own numbers — ADMIT NEXUS

The question we hear most in growth sessions: how much should I spend on ads? The honest answer: start from your own numbers, not a figure you heard from someone else.

Three numbers you need

  • Your average profit per sale after costs.
  • The share of people who buy out of those who ask — even a first estimate.
  • How many customers your team can serve per month without service slipping.

The formula

Maximum cost per enquiry = profit per sale × buying rate

Illustrative example: if you make 1,000 EGP profit per sale and one in ten enquirers buys, any enquiry costing more than 100 EGP means you are losing money.

Then multiply the acceptable cost per enquiry by the number of enquiries your team needs to reach its monthly sales capacity. The result is your budget ceiling, not your target.

Start below the ceiling

In month one, spend part of the ceiling and measure: how many enquiries came in, at what cost, and how many became sales. Then decide: scale, adjust or stop. We call this a decision cycle.

Common mistakes

  • Measuring success by likes and views instead of enquiries and sales.
  • Raising the budget before making sure the team replies and follows up.
  • Comparing your cost with a different business in a different market.

The right budget is one you can learn from, not one you are embarrassed to mention.

If you do not know your numbers yet, a free growth session is a good place to work them out together.
